This online course is designed to meet your 2 hour SAFE Act continuing education requirements the state of Utah. You will also need complete the federal SAFE Act requirements to maintain your license.

This year, The Knowledge Coop brings you an in-depth look at what’s going on in the State of Utah. We will hit each of the topics Utah has required you cover this year: recent changes to the Residential Mortgage Practices and Licensing Act (RMPA) rules, important statutory and administrative rules you should be aware of, and licensing and disciplinary actions taken last year. This course includes:

  • A look at changes made to the Residential Mortgage Practices and Licensing Act (RMPA) rules in 2016 regarding prohibited conduct, investigations, disciplinary action, and the authority to suspend a license.
  • A review of important statutory and administrative rules regarding records request requirements and unprofessional conduct.
  • A discussion of recent licensing disciplinary actions related to unpaid tax arrearages, failures to disclose bankruptcy, and criminal histories.
  • An examination of the reasons why the State of Utah decided to issue provisional/probationary licenses in particular instances, and what you can do to avoid putting your license in jeopardy.
