The course also covers fair housing, reverse mortgage, and high-cost home loanrequirements under UT Code §§ 57-21, 57-28, and 61-2d; mortgage fraud definitions,penalties, and common fraud schemes involving title and escrow companies andappraisers under the Utah Mortgage Fraud Act (§ 76-6-1203), federal statute (18 U.S.C. §1014), FNMA Selling Guide guidance, and the Financial Institution Mortgage FinancingRegulation Act (§ 70D-3-402); and fraudulent conduct by real estate agents and mortgage professionals, predatory lending schemes, and the distinction between predatory lending and mortgage fraud under applicable federal standards.
